The physical, chemical and physiological effects of montmorillonite are based on its ability to bind water (2-7 times!), to swell, to exchange cations and to bind and thus inactivate unwanted, sometimes toxic substances in the digestive tract, as well as to bind deposits in the intestine (such as sand). Psyllium promotes intestinal motility, and the prebiotics, elecampane and fructo-oligosaccharides it contains promote a healthy intestinal flora.

HOW TO FEED NUTRILABS

Feeding recommendation

It is recommended to feed the product for at least 2 weeks – if necessary, also in the long term: this should be decided individually according to the animal’s reaction. Due to the higher content of bentonite and zinc compared to complete feeds, the specified feeding instructions must not be exceeded. The simultaneous oral administration of macrolide antibiotics should be avoided.

Pellets

HORSES: 2-4 scoops per day (approx. 80-160 grams) PONY: 1-2 scoops per day (approx. 40-80 grams) It is recommended to feed double the amount during the first week. Mix well into the feed. Best in the evening, as better utilisation is achieved during the resting phase.
