Why don't your products contain green-lipped mussels?
The use of Green-Lipped Mussel powder was categorised as rather critical in the EU Feed Regulation a few years ago, which is why we have decided to no longer use Green-Lipped Mussel powder in our products. Instead, we use other biologically available sources for our GAG ingredients. The glucosamine is obtained from the chitinous shells of marine animals and the chondroitin from chicken cartilage. This has allowed us not only to replace the biologically available ingredients, but also to improve their quality. If you still wish to administer Green-Lipped Mussel Powder in addition to our products, you can do so without hesitation.
Chewable tablet, liquid or pellets – are the ingredients the same?
We offer many of our products in different dosage forms because each animal has different preferences and pet owners prefer different methods of administration. Some prefer chewable tablets because they can be given as a treat, while others prefer to mix it with food. The different dosage forms differ in a few ingredients, which has to do with the fact that certain ingredients are not suitable for certain galenics in this form. However, these ingredients are not ones that affect the product's effect. For example, the pellets do not contain any animal proteins and are therefore suitable for people with meat allergies. However, the effect of the various dosage forms is always the same. The quantities listed in the compositions appear to be different at first glance, but when converted to the recommended daily dose, they are almost identical. We therefore recommend choosing the dosage form based on the preferences of the animal.
My pet is allergic – are the products suitable?
Some NutriLabs products contain poultry protein (you can find this information in the compositions on both our product pages and on the packaging label).
This is partially hydrolysed and can be considered allergy-friendly, but not hypoallergenic
As a rule, the amount of proteins is too small to cause a reaction (the proteins are included purely for flavour).
We have had very good experiences with most allergy sufferers and have not yet received any negative feedback.
Unfortunately, we cannot rule out a potential allergic reaction with 100% certainty.
