The history of NutriLabs is characterised by significant advances and developments in the field of animal health.
From its early days as a small company to its expansion into an internationally recognised supplier of complementary animal feeds, NutriLabs’ history shows a continuous focus on innovation, quality and expansion.
Join us on this journey through the most important milestones that have shaped the company and contributed to its success today.
In 1985, Richard Cleeve founded Greencoat Ltd. This laid the foundation for the company’s later success in the field of animal nutrition. From the outset, the company focused on innovative solutions in the field of animal health.
The NutriLabs brand was created with the aim of producing high-quality feed supplements for horses. Production was based in Great Britain, where state-of-the-art technologies and scientific knowledge were used to optimally support the needs of the animals.
In 2002, NutriLabs expanded into Austria and Germany. By working with veterinary wholesalers, the products were made available to a wider audience, which strengthened the brand’s international presence.
The production lines in the UK were expanded in 2005 to meet the increasing demand. This expansion enabled NutriLabs to offer an even wider range of products and to continue to guarantee high quality standards.
NutriLabs expanded its product portfolio to include dietary supplements for dogs and cats. These products were specially developed to promote the health and well-being of pets and filled a gap in the pet food market.
The NutriLabs brand was also launched in Switzerland in 2010, made possible by a strategic partnership with a veterinary wholesaler. This expansion further strengthened the brand and provided access to new markets.
In 2021, Nutrilabs GmbH was founded in Vienna to coordinate and expand business in Central Europe. This step marked an important milestone in the company’s international expansion and strategic realignment.
The parent company, Greencoat Ltd, including all its brands, was sold to Associated British Foods (ABF) in 2022. This sale opened up new opportunities for growth and innovation within the ABF corporate structure.
Following the sale, NutriLabs was integrated into ABF’s AbAgri division. This integration has allowed it to benefit from AbAgri’s extensive resources and expertise to further advance product development.
